Hey everyone, I'm going to be the proud owner of a Laser in the next day or so and wanted to ask if anyone had any recommendations on insurance companies for insuring it.
The majority of the time I'll be sailing at the club, but may choose to do one or two events so the insurance will need to cover transportation with a road trailer.
Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Mark

Hi Mark, good to hear!
I use Suncorp but I think Club Marine are also pretty good. You can get comprehensive insurance that covers transport by road as well pretty cheaply, just make sure you get them to note racing coverage is included. It shouldn't cost any more but good to have it noted. A $2500 laser costs under $200, a $5000 laser costs $300 odd from memory
see you at BSS

I use RACQ at $155.60 including race insurance, total value insured being $3,500.00.

Cheers for the feedback guys, but here's what I found...
Suncorp wouldn't quote as they said they said they "don't do racing cover". NRMA quoted me $197 but then adding racing cover made this $330.
RACQ have provided me with full cover for $189.
Cheers Mark
